World Engineering Day 2023 – how we work towards a better future
March 3, 2023
The theme of this year’s World Engineering Day is ‘Engineering innovation for a more resilient world`. This recognises the opportunities for engineers to create a better future and celebrates the critical work they do to keep infrastructure safe for use.
Our Building Services Engineers work closely with our 24/7 UK based helpdesk to ensure all of our buildings provides clean, accessible water, sanitation systems and reliable energy for the users.
They also continue to complete projects that allow more NHS services to be delivered from our buildings and explore innovative solutions to make the estate more efficient and sustainable, including projects to make the building operationally more ‘Low Carbon’ to help the NHS meet its Net Zero Carbon targets.
We have a dedicated team who organise Pre Planned Maintenance (PPM) tasks. By doing this it allows us to reduce reactive maintenance and retain our buildings and assets to the highest standard.
Thank you to all our Blue Support Services team who maintain our health estate to such high standards. You are our #EngineeringHeroes.
We are proud of the commitment of our people who share our company values on ‘Engineering innovation for a more resilient world’ and recognise that there is always more progress to be made.
