Career Stories

Don’t just take our word for it, find out for yourself why these people joined and enjoy working at Blue Support Services

Connor Fitzgerald

Construction trainee

I joined Blue Support Services as a construction trainee in April 2016, with a particular interest in electrical work. Since working here, I have been exposed to a variety of trades and have been closely mentored by a qualified electrician. Blue Support Services are supporting all my training and I am working towards a qualification. I am starting to complete some works on my own which is then checked over by my mentor. I love the variety of the role. I work with a great team. All the engineers are very skilled, and I have exposure to lots of trades with a fantastic support network.

Steve Harris

Lifecycle Engineer

I joined Blue Support Services as a Lifecycle Engineer in 2013. I have come from a multi – skilled background with lots of experience in the lifecycle process. I really enjoy working as part of the Blue Support team as we work on such a range of projects and no two days are the same. I came in initially working on PPM’s and the generators and then over the years the role has developed and grown dependent on current business requirements. It keeps it interesting and varied and there is always something new to learn.

Kirsty Wild

Helpdesk Manager

I joined blue support services limited in October 2011. I was recruited originally as an Office Manager overseeing the running of the office at the Integrated Care Centre, Oldham and covering the Blue Support Helpdesk.  Following a number of internal courses and on the job training, I was promoted to Helpdesk Manager overseeing a team of 6. The responsibilities of the team have evolved so the members are given the opportunity for personal development. I love working here as the role is so varied and every day is different. We have the autonomy to implement new ways of doing things but we also have the support from the wider team if necessary.
