Lifecycle Engineer

I joined Blue Support Services as a Lifecycle Engineer in 2013. I have come from a multi – skilled background with lots of experience in the lifecycle process. I really enjoy working as part of the Blue Support team as we work on such a range of projects and no two days are the same. I came in initially working on PPM’s and the generators and then over the years the role has developed and grown dependent on current business requirements. It keeps it interesting and varied and there is always something new to learn.

Helpdesk Manager

I joined blue support services limited in October 2011. I was recruited originally as an Office Manager overseeing the running of the office at the Integrated Care Centre, Oldham and covering the Blue Support Helpdesk.  Following a number of internal courses and on the job training, I was promoted to Helpdesk Manager overseeing a team of 6. The responsibilities of the team have evolved so the members are given the opportunity for personal development. I love working here as the role is so varied and every day is different. We have the autonomy to implement new ways of doing things but we also have the support from the wider team if necessary.

Building Services Engineer

I joined Blue Support Services in 2015 as a Building Services Engineer based in the North. The thing I like most about BSSL is that every day is different. There are always new challenges which test your skills and technical knowledge. I receive support from my Line Manager and colleagues and have been provided with opportunities such as internal and external training and I have recently been asked to become a Team Leader. A wider understanding of all building services and gaining multiple skills is key at Blue Support Services. Thanks to the training and guidance I have received my confidence and knowledge on the wider day-to-day running of the estate continues to improve daily. My favourite thing about working at BSSL is the great teamwork and the working together to get the job done attitude that everyone has. Being able to manage your own time to complete your tasks and the positive mind set across the company is just one of the reasons I would recommend working for Blue Support Services. Helpdesk Administrator

I joined Blue Support Services in 2017 as a Helpdesk Administrator based at the Integrated Care Centre, Oldham. I love that every day is different, and you never know what call you’re going to take next! I have received a lot of support, especially from my team and I am learning something new from them all the time. The culture in the office is very proactive but also down to earth at the same time. It is a welcomed balance and makes the office an enjoyable place to work. I would say that Blue Support Services is a company that can keep you on your toes and requires you to be organized and great at multi-tasking but at the same time if you ever need help, everyone you work with is friendly and approachable

Team Leader

I joined Blue Support Services in 2015 as a Trainee Caretaker based in the North and I have continued to work hard in multiple roles that lead me to being promoted in early 2020 to Team Leader.  The thing I like most about BSSL and my role is that I can encourage my team and colleagues to learn new technical skills and gain knowledge from the wide variety of jobs. Since starting with Blue Support Services I have been provided with numerous training opportunities and I am now providing training via Tool Box Talks to my team of Engineers to help maintain the high standards Blue Support Services expects. One of the best things about Blue Support Services is that the communication from all staff is second to none. We receive updates regularly through our internal communications platform and newsletters from all levels of staff. This in turn has provided a positive working environment where teamwork and workplace wellbeing is taken very seriously. Building rapport with our local estate partners and other clients that we work closely with is an important aspect of my role as Team Leader to enable me to report updates to our dedicated helpdesk team and my line manager. I would tell someone that is wanting to work for Blue Support Services that it is an exciting, fast-moving, forward thinking company that is dedicated to deliver a high standard service for our clients and offers great opportunities for career progression.

Engineering Manager

I joined Blue Support Services in 2014 as a Building services Engineer based in our North team and through hard work, dedication, and support from the company, I was promoted to Engineering Manager in 2019.  The thing I like most about Blue Support Services are the people I work with and that no two days are the same. I work closely with the Blue Support Services Business Manager and the Construction and Engineering Project Managers to ensure that all pre-planned and reactive maintenance works are completed to the high standard expected by our clients. Within my 7 years working for Blue Support Services, I have been on various training and development courses to aid and enhance my technical skills and my knowledge base of the industry. Since my first day I have received support and guidance from both my colleagues and the senior management team to help me become the multi-skilled engineer I am today. One of my favourite aspects of being part of Blue Support Services is the team around me and the varied work that we carry out.
