Our team of 12 intrepid trekkers took on an 18-mile MEGA HIKE on Saturday to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.

The 18-mile hike route took the team around a full loop of Castleton, taking in Edale, Kinder Scout, Jacobs Ladder, Mam Tor and back in to Castleton.

Through the route we battled plenty of rain (some of it sideways), blustering winds and a few nice spots of baking hot sun.

Morale was high though and the team (sort of) laughed off the soaked socks and sore feet and stayed focussed on completing the challenge for these great charities.
